Students will learn screenwriting techniques and concepts from a working screenwriter who values fun, inclusiveness, and positivity. And since the class is taught on Zoom, you can join us from anywhere in the world!

The class is designed for those who want to write, as well as for actors and entertainment pros who simply want to better understand the art and business of how stories are brought to the screen. Subjects covered in this four-week course include: 

 

  • A creative process for planning your story that will get you ready to write and FINISH a polished script

 

  • The steps of the TV writing process, including logline and story area documents

 

  • Techniques for structure using the “Story Circle” concept to map out a satisfying story that will create an amazing platform for your world and characters and make your screenplay pop

 

  • Q&A’s with the instructor covering everything from pitching, story generation and the complexities, realities, and current state of the business right now

 

$275 plus $4.50 Paypal fee

Brian D. Bradley has been working in entertainment for over 25 years.

A graduate of The University of Florida, he spent the first part of his

career in Orlando, working as an actor, director, and writer in theatre,

at the theme parks and was one of the founders of the popular sketch

comedy troupe Discount Comedy Outlet. After relocating to Los Angeles

Brian transitioned into tv writing for shows like MADtv, Scrubs, Happy

Endings, Growing Up Fisher, and The Big Show Show. He was also the

creator and showrunner of ABC’s Uncle Buck starring Mike Epps. Most

recently he was an EP for the re-boot of Head of The Class on HBOMax

and a consultant/writer for Season 3 of Star Trek: Lower Decks on Paramount

Plus. Brian has had the pleasure to work with many excellent show creators, including Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Ted Lasso), Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman, Killing Eve), Jordon Peele (MadTV, Get Out), and Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty, Solar Opposites, Star Trek: Lower Decks). As a part of multiple development deals, Brian has sold, written, and produced many pilots for ABC, NBC, FOX, and NETFLIX. With a grounding in improvisational comedy and a belief that creativity should be approached with sanity and joy, he’s excited to bring his knowledge and experience to anyone who wants to learn to tell amazing stories for the screen and beyond.
